Admission Procedure

Admission for each academic year begin around the month of April. New students are chosen on the basis of academic ability, interests and skills as well as parental understanding and commitment to the unique pedagogy and vision of the school.

The school is strictly residential for boys.

Admission is open to 6th & 8th standards only.

Written Test, Interview Date and Admission Rules:

  1. The application should be filled in and sent to the Principal, Prashanthi Vidya Kendra, P. O. Bayar, Kasargod Dist. – 671348
  2. The application for admission should be signed by the father, mother or the guardian of the student. All the necessary certificates should be produced at the time of admission.
  3. Admissions are made strictly on the basis of the performance in the entrance test and interview.
  4. The entrance test and interview is conducted on the 2nd Sunday of April every year.
  5. The parents are informed about the selection of child within a week after the entrance test.
  6. Fess paid at the time of the admission will not be refunded for any reason.

Syllabus for Entrance Test

  1. General English
  2. Mathematics
  3. Kannada / Malaylam / Sanskrit

Test is conducted based upon the previous class chapters.

English (VI CLASS)

Marks 25, Time 30 minutes.
  1. Sentence construction ( Affirmative, Negative, Interrogative)
  2. Noun, Pronoun, Adjective
  3. Use of ‘Who’ and ‘Which’ as relative pronoun
  4. Simple Tenses ( Present, Past and Future)
  5. Continuous Tenses ( Present and Past)
  6. Numbers ( Singular and Plural )
  7. Change of statements into questions by the help of Do, Does and Did.
  8. Spelling of simple words.
  9. Degrees of Comparison
  10. Complete the conversation
  11. Expand the outline story
  12. General Essay

Mathematics (VI CLASS)

Marks 25, Time 30 minutes.
  1. Basic operations on whole numbers and L.C.M., H.C.M.
  2. Basic operations on fractional numbers and decimal numbers.
  3. Profit, loss, percentage and average of numbers.
  4. Basic geomatrical concepts.
  5. Perimeter, area and volume.
  6. Ratios and proportions.
  7. Construction and types of angles.
  8. Types of triangles.
